Your role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for a high-tech semiconductor customer in The Netherlands.

Are you a DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation and the cloud? Do you have experience setting up and managing automated IT environments? Then this is your chance to work on challenging projects at Itility!

We help our clients simplify and smarten their IT landscape. No more manual work, but automation using software-driven solutions. This way, we remove complexity and ensure fully automated management environments.

What you are going to do

· Create and maintain Windows virtual machines using Azure DevOps pipelines.

· Build and maintain Windows Jenkins agents for CI/CD execution.

· Create and maintain Jenkins pipelines to:

  • Run and validate C# Avalonia GUI application tests natively on Windows.

  • Build Docker images embedding the C++ gRPC backend server.

  • Deploy Docker images to Windows VMs and execute automated test workflows.

· Design and operate CI/CD workflows using ephemeral Docker-based build environments in Azure.

· Create and maintain Apptainer (Singularity) containers to support portable and reproducible application execution.

· Maintain and extend CMake build systems

· Build and maintain Docker images

· Maintain and evolve Jenkins infrastructure and pipelines.

· Ensure reliable integration between C++ backend services and C# GUI via gRPC communication.

· Troubleshoot build, test, and deployment issues across Windows and Linux environments.

· Collaborate with developers to improve build stability, reproducibility, and CI/CD performance.

This is you

Naturally, you are committed, driven, and enjoy working in a world that is constantly changing. To do that successfully, you need:

  • Strong experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.

  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins (pipelines, agents, and administration).

  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure automation.

  • Strong knowledge of Docker and containerized build/release workflows.

  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration in CI/CD contexts.

  • Experience building and maintaining Windows-based CI agents and automation workflows.

  • Strong CMake knowledge for multi-platform C++ build systems.

  • Experience supporting C++ build, packaging, and deployment across multiple Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, OpenEuler, Wind River Linux).

  • Experience with cross-platform build troubleshooting and dependency management.

  • Familiarity with gRPC or similar service communication frameworks.

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

  • Ability to work in complex heterogeneous environments (Windows + Linux + containerized systems).
