

DevOps Kubernetes engineer

Location: San Jose, CA (3 days per week onsite)
We need your expertise
We are looking for an DevOps engineer with extensive Kubernetes and Azure expertise, for a 3 month project to migrate a set of DevOps applications to a Kubernetes / Azure environment.
Key Activities
Assess dependencies for the migratation; remediate manifests, images, integrations, data flows and CI/CD. Applications in scope for the migration: Zeppeling, Artifactory, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Grafana.
Execute migration waves, cutovers, functional validation and issue resolution with application owners.
Hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Azure, Linux, networking, storage, security and automation.
Working with our application migration engineers and architects in San Jose.

Proficient in Azure Services and Kubernetes.
Strong foundation in security frameworks, networking (routing, switching, firewalling), containerization (deployment & infrastructure, mainly Kubernetes), storage, Linux.
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), configuration management (IaC), and API management, containerization (Kubernetes) utilizing automation tools and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) to streamline deployment and system configuration.
Skilled in Python, KQL, and PowerShell, enabling automation, data querying, and scripting for IT and cloud environments.
Experience around 4-15 years, medior level to senior level depending on the scope
Minimal required certifications:
Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator
Certified Kubernetes Administrator
